One of the most important aims of SAAFFI can be summed up as "Training". This can be further defined in the following terms:
- Attract new blood into the Flavour & Fragrance Industry, and the industries it serves, by encouraging university graduates to take the custom-designed 'Flavour & Fragrance Course @ UJ' (NQF 7)
- Increase the knowledge of staff already employed in the Flavour & Fragrance Industry
- Improve the understanding about flavourings and fragrance compounds within the food/beverage and cosmetic/toiletry/detergent industries
To achieve these goals, an assortment of measures is being used:
